Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney and the Office of Education made an appearance at the 6000 Castor Academy to read to the kids. Mayor Kenney read “Llama Llama Red Pajama.” by Anna Dewdney, to a pajama-clad class of preschoolers. Parents got a chance to speak with Kenney afterward about PHLpreK and how beneficial the program is for working guardians. The kids sat down for a snack with Mayor Kenney after storytime and discussed the importance of education.
