Brightside Academy partners with the School District of Philadelphia for Transition to Kindergarten event

(Philadelphia, PA, March 16, 2015) – Brightside Academy is partnering with the School District of Philadelphia regarding a Kindergarten Transition event with the goal of informing parents of the registration process and available community resources. The event will take place on March 26 at 3230 N. 3rd Street from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.

In addition to resources about the School District of Philadelphia, the event will also provide material on the necessary medical and dental records needed for kindergarten. Representatives from Temple University’s Department of Pediatric Dentistry and Community Oral Health Sciences will offer services for family dental health, as well as financial assistance programs for dental exams.

Staff members from the Parent Leaders Advisory Network in Northern Philadelphia will also attend the event and provide parents with criminal background and child abuse clearance paperwork. The goal of this organization is to help parents complete the paperwork needed to volunteer at school functions, field trips, and increase parent engagement.

“The Brightside Academy’s early childhood curriculum is varied with instructive and play experiences. Children will be taught all of the skills needed to successfully transition to kindergarten,” stated Rebecca Eisentraut, Director of Curriculum and Instruction at Brightside Academy. “Our partnerships with these community organizations help us prepare children for their next learning experience, and prepare the parents with the resources they need for a successful transition.”

Brightside Academy is proud to partner with these organizations to provide education and services to strengthen the Philadelphia community. Families who are interested in enrolling their children to Brightside Academy can contact the company at 1-877-868-2273, visit brightsideacademy.com, or stop by a local academy for more information.
