About Us

Brightside Academy-4 Smithfield is a recognized and accredited child care and school readiness provider in Downtown Pittsburgh, right across the bridge from Station Square. Located close to the Dept. of Human Services, restaurants and a convenience store, we offer nurturing care in a safe environment. We service children from 6-weeks- to 12-years-old and are proud to offer the Early Head Start, and Pre-K Counts quality programs.

Brightside Academy childChildren are born eager to learn. Brightside Academy’s curriculum helps lead children to their full potential and prepares them for success in school and beyond.

Our kindergarten readiness programs teach age-appropriate lessons that encourage development in a safe and nurturing environment. Trained and experienced teachers care for and educate infants, toddlers, and preschoolers in the areas of reading, math, communication and exploration daily.

School-age children benefit from before- and after-school care in a supervised and enriching environment and from a fun summer camp program when school is not in session.
