Christmas came early this year for students at our East Liberty, McKees Rocks, and Jeannette locations in the form of generosity from others.
East Liberty originally planned their annual holiday party including activities like balloon animals and painting with a (kids) twist. Academy management then reached out to Toys for Tots, an organization with a mission to provide a tangible sign of hope to economically disadvantaged children at Christmas time, for help in making the party extra special. The kids were joyfully surprised with more than 150 toys donated to Santa’s Workshop!
At the McKees Rocks location, North Way Christian Community Church donated funds to make the PJs, Pancakes and Presents with Santa event possible after our original toy donation was canceled a few days before the celebration. They went above and beyond to ensure that our kids had the best holiday ever!
United Way of South Western PA provided our Jeanette academy families with donations of hats and gloves to make sure our little treasures stay warm this chilly season. Our staff presented the gifts along with treat bags during the “Cookies with Santa” event. The kids had a blast sporting their new winter accessories, talking with Santa, and warming up with hot chocolate and cookies.
We are truly grateful for the kindness displayed by these organizations. They continue to prove that good people surround our community who believe in the future of our children.
