Brightside Academy in Pittsburgh offers two great quality programs to prepare your preschool child for kindergarten.

Our Head Start program promotes school readiness of children ages birth to five from low-income families by supporting their development in a comprehensive way. It supports children’s growth and development in a positive learning environment through a variety of services, which include early learning, health and family well-being. 

The Pre-K Counts program is focused on creating good quality of life, high-quality jobs and a strong economy for Pennsylvania, by providing opportunities to every Pennsylvanian beginning in childhood. Early education can open the doors of opportunity for every child to do well in school, in the workforce, and in life. The Pennsylvania Pre-K Counts program is based on the quality components adopted for pre-kindergarten by the State Board of Education.
